How could I know if my home devices are compatible with MyAudioStream?
MyAudioStream works with lots of UPnP, DLNA, Samsung Click compatible media devices. You can check our proven list of tested devices here. If MyAudioStream works in series of models, there is a high chance that other devices in a line are compatible too.
How can I manage my home media network from MyAudioStream?
Start MyAudioStream. It will automatically search for all available UPNP servers and renderers in the media network. Tap on an icon Extra. Select a media file from DMS and send it by icon “Download” or “Add” to the “Songs” section and tap to play on available DMR. You can control the playback from the Now Playing Tab and also choose the renderer you wish to use.
Why can MyAudioStream not discover my server/renderer?
The reasons could be:
– your device is not connected to a Wi-Fi network;
– your network connection is not stable or your router is not working properly;
– if the other device is not UPnP-compliant, it cannot be discovered by MyAudioStream;
– sometimes, it is necessary to turn off the firewall on your computer. Make sure you consult an IT professional before you make such changes to your machine.
Some media files cannot be played back on MyAudioStream DMR
If a song is purchased from iTunes you will not be able to play it or copy it, as it is DRM protected. This is written in Apple’s Guidelines. Follow this link to know more, link
We are currently using a standard Android embedded media player for local playback, and the range of supported media formats depends on the manufacturer of your Android device. You can change MyAudioStream DMR settings through a Player software option. You may choose any media player installed on your device which supports certain media files. Note, any 3rd party players cannot be controlled remotely.
Why do I have 3rd party media players available on my list of players?
The 3rd party media players on your list of players appear depending on what type of a media file you choose. Media server provides content type information, and then the Android/iOS system interprets it and selects a list of 3rd party players which support the playback of your selected media file.

Yes, MyAudioStream also runs in the background for easy, non-intrusive operation.
Xbox connection As long as you have a wireless network setup at home, an iOS/Android device and Xbox, you can use MyAudioStream to wirelessly stream media to your TV set. It’s extremely simple, and can be done by following these few easy steps: Step 1. Download MyAudioStream (the free version works just fine), and launch it. Step 2. Turn on your Xbox, and make sure both it and your iOS/Android device are on the same Wi-Fi network. Step 3. Your iDevice should pop up on your Xbox under the Music tabs, and you should be able to navigate through your content on either your Xbox or using the MyAudioStream app. Step 4. That’s it! Select which media you want to stream, kick back and enjoy. If your device doesn’t populate in one of the above-mentioned tabs, navigate to Settings > Network Settings > Media Server Connection on your Xbox and make sure that it says “Enabled.” You can also manually search for media servers in the same menu.
1. Connect your PS and device to your Wi-Fi DLNA operates over Wi-Fi, so it’s essential that the devices you want to connect are both using the same Wi-Fi network. If you have multiple wireless routers in your home, you’ll need to make sure that phone/tablet and PS are on the same network. Once you’re done, load up the MyAudioStream Application. 2. Configure your PS for media sharing Fire up your PS console and scroll across to Settings. Scroll down to Internet Settings, and then down to Media Server Connection. Make sure this is enabled — if it isn’t, your PS won’t be able to ‘see’ your phone/tablet. 3. Playing your music Once the connection is established between your console and phone, the media on your phone/tablet becomes listed in the relevant section of the PS’s media bar. Scroll across to the Music section and expect to see your phone appear as one of the available folders. It should be listed as ‘[Mobile]’. Once you open up the phone, you’ll be (confusingly) presented with folders for all of the available DLNA content — Audio. You’ll be presented with a long list of all the songs currently stored on your phone’s internal memory. Clicking on a song will start streaming. You can use the PS pad to pause, rewind and fast-forward through the musical tracks — just like a proper remote control — even though the actual footage is stored on your handset.
How can I send music files from Win Media Player or any other server to MyAudioStream renderer?
Tap on the Extra icon. Select a music file from your DMS and send it by icon “Download” or “Add” to the “Songs” section and tap to play on an available DMR. You can control the playback from the Now Playing Tab and also choose the renderer you wish to use.
How long does it take to connect to a UPnP server?
MyAudioStream should be able to find servers and renderers in the network within 1 minute providing that the network connection is running well and consistently and the Wi-Fi router is capable of transferring multicast data packages.
If you don’t have any server icons in the list, only the DMS on the device itself, you will need to install a server program such as Serviio on your PC or laptop.
If it doesn’t work you can do the following:
-check if other UPnP devices are turned on and are connected to your home network
– check if your device running MyAudioStream is connected to your home network
– try restarting MyAudioStream, or your device running MyAudioStream, or other UPnP devices or even re-install MyAudioStream
– check if something is available in Servers and Players tab
-also you can check if an LTE connection is on,turn it off and try again.There can be a problem with Network interface.
– write a letter to Support indicating your problem, you device model and UPnP devices in your home network
My TV doesn’t play music files I have tried to stream with MyAudioStream
Please check the specs of your TV. Does it support the formats you are trying to play and if it should do, try to stream a different file in another format as a test. Then try to restart all the devices and the Wi-Fi router, which can be the cause of the problem. There are technical issues with some Samsung TV models, a question of protocol matching. We are working to fix these in later software releases.
Can’t play tracks away from home or tracks don’t play one after another
At home you can select and play tracks which are a mixture of those already downloaded and added plus those streamed from the internet or other network servers on your home network, and those will play in the correct order. As soon as you leave your home network you can only play those tracks which have been downloaded to your device. Even if you are connected to another network, MyAudioStream will only be able to find those tracks located on your device.
